Aqualiner

Aqualiner is best suited to pallets and consignments kept outside in the UK.

Often damp wooden pallets are brought inside to be used in packing/freight but come with a risk of passing residual dampness to packaged product. Aqualiner provides a reassuring barrier to any dampness coming into contact with boxed or packed product.

Applications

Both versions of Aqualiner – an industry standard PE based coating which offers the best protection against moisture ingress, and a more sustainable acrylic version – are best suited to protecting powder-based products such as sugar, flour, salt, and some chemicals.

The robust moisture barrier provided by these liners is essential in preventing clumping, caking, or degradation of these sensitive materials, ensuring that they remain dry and free from contamination throughout transportation and storage. Aqualiner’s advanced coating technology not only preserves the quality and consistency of powdered products but also supports compliance with industry regulations concerning product safety and hygiene.

By incorporating Aqualiner into your logistics strategy, you can significantly enhance product integrity and extend shelf life, providing an added value that is critical for customer satisfaction and brand reputation in markets that demand the highest standards of product purity.

Benefits of using Aqualiner pallet liners
  • Good water barrier protecting against damp pallets and prevent migration through the pallet stack
  • All Aqualiners have some element of recycled content (minimum 30%)
  • Thinner grades of paper mean more sheets per pallet so potentially (carbon) less deliveries, easier to store, transportation, fuel etc (vs corrugated board)
  • Thicker grades of paper mean better quality so less waste (vs corrugated board)
  • Significantly reduces stock, space, handling, transport costs and carbon footprint when compared against corrugated board.
    • Comparisons vs pallets of 400 corrugated boards (fluting, excess air). Like for like, B flute corrugated thickness 2.5-3.5mm. Users handle 10 pallets of board to a single pallet of Aqualiner.
  • PE version is not recyclable /repulpable / acrylic is
